Cant it play high enough? in my buddy Chu's GTI its no good past 1800hz 24db in his doors and he uses those tweets in the sails and its a mess unless he has them HP at 3k+, nice fat underlap.

Any particular reason why? You're severely limiting yourself. The above mentioned are some great speakers for the money.

Because wouldn't a 8ohm speaker withdraw less power from my amp than a 4 ohm speaker?

The XT25's can easily extend down to match with the Dayton RS's...

Dayton's to ~1.6kHz and XT25's pick up ~2kHz

I'm on my phone so just one browser window haha... Finding the link would take some time. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum - go to tutorials - look for the thread by npdang about the rationalle why it's just fine to use 8 ohm drivers in a automotive install. Don't forget your amp will play cleaner at the higher impedence.
