Any ideas? Looking for a 4 ohm 6.5 inch mid that would match with the xt25. Tried to get the polymids but the website is down.

Any particular reason why? You're severely limiting yourself. The above mentioned are some great speakers for the money.looking for a 4 ohm speaker
Because wouldn't a 8ohm speaker withdraw less power from my amp than a 4 ohm speaker?Any particular reason why? You're severely limiting yourself. The above mentioned are some great speakers for the money.
The XT25's can easily extend down to match with the Dayton RS's...Cant it play high enough? in my buddy Chu's GTI its no good past 1800hz 24db in his doors and he uses those tweets in the sails and its a mess unless he has them HP at 3k+, nice fat underlap.
word has it that the site is about 2 hours from being back online. The polys and XT25s are a good set.
I'm on my phone so just one browser window haha... Finding the link would take some time. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum - go to tutorials - look for the thread by npdang about the rationalle why it's just fine to use 8 ohm drivers in a automotive install. Don't forget your amp will play cleaner at the higher impedence.Because wouldn't a 8ohm speaker withdraw less power from my amp than a 4 ohm speaker?
