I had my court hearing for 4 tickets in january and now have the trial for them in march.
the first people who stood in front of the judge were lawyers and all they did was say the were representing " so and so" and request that the judge drop the points, then the judge drops the points if the drivers record wasn't bad, BUT then they add additional charges on top of that, on top of the ticket fine.
thats what happened in ur case, and now the court is telling you to pay for the fine.
TRAFFIC COURTS DO NOT THROW OUT SPEEDING TICKETS UNLESS THE DRIVER TAKES IT TO TRIAL.
