for the past few months, when i crank the volume up, my amp cuts off. before u ask, i am not running the amp below its minimum ohms. i tested my sub woofers with a multimeter and everything was good there. so i hooked up my wifes zx1500 and tested it on my system on the same songs to see if it would cut off but it didnt. so it leads me to believe that something is wrong with the amp. when it cuts off, it goes into protection then turns off then back on. the way it behaves is like im running it below 2ohms but im not. plus i have done nothing different to my system. i have had the amp about 3 yrs. i took the amp cover off to see if there was any visual damage but nothing looked abnormal.
anyone have this prob before? who can i send my amp to in order to see if it needs repair or not. i called dbr yesterday but he said he doesnt work on kicker amps.
