After thinking long and hard and trying so many subs trying to get an idea of what works best.

I still cannot decide what to do as i could not try more subs as i wanted in certain brands due to price and time between buying each sub.

SO these are my current ideas, but before i say this is what it will be in.

Vehicle: 2000 GMC Sierra SLT 1500 5.3L V8 (3 Doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )

Sub Setup Style: Wall or non-wall

Electrical: 370amp Alternator w/ all 0 gauge OFC KNUCONCEPTZ (Plan to do a dual or quad alt setup)

Weight: 1-2 tons acceptable (upgraded suspension)

Space Available: 20+ cu.ft (Ill start with that amount as i can always go to the bed)

Current Ideas:

4 15' Subs

  • Four 15' Soundqubed HDC3/4
  • Two SQ3500.1
  • Five D3100 XS Power

2/4 18's

  • 2 or 4 18' DSS Ethos
  • Two BC3500.1
  • Five XS Power D3100

These are the current choices i have, but my main goal is to be near 160db daily on music.

Any help would be cool as this build log will start around January or February.

it's all up to you, but i will give my opinion, i am not a big wall fan, just something about the subs being in your face or the back of your head just doesn't attract me, i like it when you have to look and see where the big bump is coming from, i am partial to the sq set up since that is what i am working on now, never heard or had experience with the ethos, i would say use the bed and cut out the cab and funnel the sound in, but that's me, after my sq set up i was kinda looking at the wardens, but then again at $1000 a sub whooaa, and i never heard them in person. and i think 4 18's, go all the way man!!!

Thank you for your input.

I am actually shying away from soundqubed as i have a hdc3 12' and after 2 months the suspension is almost breaking on me.

If anything i would just recreate the black nasty.

Im not 100% about a bed style setup as i rather not have to screw up the look of the truck as i will be leveling it off and adding some custom made rims to handle the weight.

If there are other subs anybody has ideas of i would love to hear them!

DO NOT MENTION DD...... I have tested a DD9915/12/18 & DD z in my truck and they all are VERY VERY VERY BORING TO ME.

I want to build a setup not everyone has. DD are made fantastic & which have become cheater subs to me and would love a challenge to get loud.
