An Rl-i 8" is going to be going into my trunk soon and I need some ideas for a box. I'm not in a hurry as I will order the sub once I get the box plans all laid out. I would like to port it since it will be one lonely 8 and I don't want to skimp on the output. The soundsplinter website said that it should be about .4-.6 cu ft.
Here is a picture of the sub with its dimensions
Now the tricky part is that I have this odd little hump in the trunk that is the top of the fuel tank so drilling there is a no no... The hump in the picture is 19" wide.
(keep in mind that my PPI amp is on the backseat too)
Now I'm sort of a symmetry freak and I would like to put something right in front of the amp in the middle. I want it to be as short as possible but it can be as wide as needed.
I'm open to all ideas
