Need Help!!!

I just installed my JBL BP1200.1 with my 'bahn sub and i need some help...

i have no idea what to set it at and i know in a ported box it doesnt need a huge gain to get loud.. i mean right now its pretty loud but i cant figure out what to set it at...my other amp had a switchable HPF/LPF/FULL but this amp doesnt... i have no idea what to do with it because teh sub moves when no bass is coming out of it.. HELP PLEASE!

where might i be able to acquire one? i got it set up and tuned and it sounds 10x better then it was sealed.

Any of the Low-pass filter will work, just depends on how dedicated to bass you want your sub to be.

a subwoofer amp is not gonna have a hpf or full, but it definately should have a lpf. i know they don't have a subsonic filter you should get an f-mod thing for that since you are running your sub in a ported box. i am almost certain it has a low pass filter on it. look in the amplifier forum there is a sticky on setting gains

There IS a built in low pass filter on the BP1200.1 that is ALWAYS on.

Look on the end of the amp that the RCAs plug into.... theres a knob labled "LPF FREQ" thats what adjusts the frequency of the Low Pass Filter... try setting it a little lower than halfway to start.

No need to buy an extra low pass filter

naw i mean it has a LPF but its not switchable between low/high/ and full like my spl was. its soundin good now after about 5 hours of dickin around with it. now i just gotta look for a mic to get it metered on. and imma look into one of those external lpf thingy majiggers. tyvm for anyone who helped..

You wouldnt want to set it to High or Full anyway if it drives subs... the low pass filter isnt what sounds bad if adjusting the knob i mentioned before doesnt fix it.

why would you want you subs to run on high or full? makes no sense to me. But, do as you wish.

we do what we can. anyways though you should look into one of those f-mods since you are subsonic filterless.

not tryin to make you feel dumb :? Did you try turning the LPF FREQ knob down more tho? Maybe it's broken or something... that should do it... you sure you arent hearing the vocals from your 6x9's or something?
