Need help

So i bought a 2017 f-150 with sync 3 im just wanting to hook up one amp for one sub i looked behind the deck and decided i need a loc i called around for an audio install company some places charged $30-$60

Then i called another place and they told me i need a digital loc because the sync puts too much voltage from the head unit and a regular loc would burn up is this true or are they trying to take my money they want 300 plus 170 labor it seems kinda wrong i would love some advice

How much voltage does the sync put out? Seems like for that price you can just do a dsp and probably wire it yourself.

Do you have a factory subwoofer? Is it a sony system?

Theres no factory sub in it and its not the Sony system and the guy at the shop told me it put 21 volts but im thinking he was just trying to get me to buy the 300 loc

I talked to them an they said they could do it with an lc2 because it can handle the power its $100 dose this sound reasonable

Lc2 will work fine. I wouldnt go stupid cheap on a loc anyways. The lc2i is $65 on Amazon.

Thanks for finding it cheaper ill definitely get it from there If later i decide to add an amp to my highs what would be the best thing to do
