Need Help

mixture of area and length.... completely dependent on your driver(s) and the volume of your box... too many variables for an equation
Not really, there are quite a few formulas. None will be 100% accurate but a lot more accurate than your online calculators. This is the one I use. It's also the formula used in the program Bass Box Pro
Lv= {(14630000 x R²) / (Fb²) x [(Vb/Np) x 1728]} - 1.463 x R

Lv= Port Length (inches)

Fb= Tune Frequency (Hertz)

R= See ******* (this will use different equations depending on round or square vents)

Vb= total internal airspace (cubic ft)

Np= Number of ports

******This is for square vents and will take place of R.

R= √[( H x W) / π]

√= square root

H= height of port (inches)

W= width of port (inches)

π = 3.141592 (pi)

******This is for round vents and will take place of R

R= (Dia / 2)

Dia= Vent Diameter

That will do ok for conventional tuning. It can get quite complicated for the average user though. But for what you are looking for....the above will work with ok results in most cases. Don't forget to subtract displacement values either.
