Hows it goen everyone,

I'm currently looking to buy the following to put into my 2004 Subaru Liberty 3.0L;

1x Rockford Fosgate T212D2 Power Series 12" 2000w, 1000w RMS Sub Rockford Fosgate

1x Kicker 10ZX1000.1 2000w, 1000w RMS Amp ZX Amplifiers | KICKER

1x Soundstream SC-20CA 20-Farad Hybrid Digital Capacitor (6th capacitor down) Capacitors

My questions are, is this a good amplifier for that subwoofer? If so, is that a good capacitor for the setup? (Is a capacitor needed? The guy at the local audio store said it is). And, can someone recommend the best brand wires to use? I haven't been around the car stereo scene since I put 2 15" MTX subs in my '05 H2 Hummer when I got it. My budget is around $1500AUD delivered (can go a little bit higher) and I already have the box for the setup. Is there anything else I would need? Cheers in advance for any help you can give!

Ok so capacitors gone and battery is in, any recommendations to fit in my price range?

Like I mentioned I have around a $1500 budget and my sub with enclosure is costing just

over $600 delivered so I've still got about $900 or a bit more to play with.. What amp, audio

battery, wires etc would you recommend?

Ok so here's a quick update after doing some research. I think I will run an optima

D34 battery and the Rockford Fosgate T212D2 in the enclosure I have. My only

questions now are, is that a good battery to run? What amp and wires should I

be running? And, is that all I need to get it pumping?

Carnivorous18: No offence to you or sundown but I'd rather stay with a more mainstream manufacturer for the amp. Do you know if that battery would fit in a '04 Subaru Liberty 3.0L? I had it recommended so I'm going off of their word at the moment..

As for the wiring, I don't want to go cheap on it, what's the next step up because the 4 gauge kits are only $49 lol.. Has anyone used or heard much about stinger amp kits? I'm looking at the "Stinger SHK201 HPM Series 0 Gauge Car Audio Amp Kit" in particular, any advice is appriciated!

The only things I still need to know are, is that "Stinger Amp Kit" a good reputable brand? Does anyone else use them? Is there a more mainstream amp rather than the sundown audio that would be perfect for the Rockford Fosgate T212D2? (Rockford Fosgate® - T212D2). And is that all I need to get it running? (I already have the sub box).

And most of all remember I have a budget of around $1500 and I have already spend around $650 on the sub and $219 on the enclosure.

After doing hours of research I found out that the sub I was looking at was released back in 2004! So I started researching into the best 12" on the market for a SPL/SQL bass. I came up with RE Audio XXX and I can get one of them for just under 800AUD shipped to my door!!! So my question is, what's the best amp to get to run this beast of a sub? Its specs for those that don't know are 2000w RMS, 4000w peak, Dual 2 ohm. If you need to know anything else hit me up asap cause I wanna get the beast pumping!

Odabbs: Well I managed to find a 1500USD+ RRP sub for 800AUD inc delivery so I'm sure I can hook something up for the amp, just need to know what to look for?

Misfit138: Fill me in on what I have much to learn about?

First of all, The RE XXX Is NOT this super end-all-be-all subwoofer. I know that international shipping could be an issue for you, but there are some monster subs that you can buy for a hell of a lot less cash....if they'll ship to you.

Then there's the matter of you not being aware of/willing to purchase anything other than mainstream gear. With a little bit of research you'll learn that many "internet companies" are offering top notch products at a fraction of the price of the mainstream brands. Take the Kicker 10ZX1000.1 for example. That amplifier is rated for 1,000 watts rms and it's $350 from the cheapest seller I can find on google. You could buy an Audioque AQ2200 for $40 more and it'll give you around twice the power.....at a 1 ohm load. Furthermore, you can buy a reliable 1,000 watt monoblock amplifier from several companies for WAY less than $350.

Like I said; You've got a lot to learn.
