need help

my 760w pioneer amp out of nowhere it started acting wierd it was working fine then it would turn on but shuts off when it goes to hit but then turn back on and keep doing it

Could be a bad ground. Could also be due to having the gain and bass boost too high.

Is the amp going into protect, or is it powering off?

Have you checked the ground and the RCA's? How about the remote wire?

You need to check the owner's manual about the "protect" light. Surely the amp has some kind of warning when it goes into protect...

rcas yes but it would not come on if the remote was messed up
