Know Y U belive what U do
OK I had this massive system that I was saving up for and buying pieces here and there. Well I have had all the pieces but needed to save up wiring and distrobution blocks, and I buy a different car. a Stealth R/T turbo to be exact. Now I don't want to weight the car down too much.

I have 2 Orion HCCA 12.2's currently with D5000 for each sub, but liked mentioned I don't want that much weight added.

So I am thinking an 8 or maybe a 10 in a T/L line box, any input would be awesome.

car audio and going fast do not mix. my suggestion is buy that car and keep the one oyu have. then make one fast, and one loud.

but what are your goals with this system in the stealth? just sound good, or do you want it crazy loud?

i would keep them. theres not much weight diffrences between 8,10,12 the box yea. but you could always build it lighter then normal. no screws, dubble battle, less bracening. i am sure there are a bunch of things you could do. you plan on raceing? make the box so it comes out easym so when you go race it ant there. this is just me 100lbs or less dont make much diffrents to me i would rather have the sound then liteness.

Sound good and a lil loud. Having two toy cars is not an option. For the cost of getting the loud car done I could put into performance upgrades like p/p heads.

My biggest concern is going from about a 100-200 lbs sub box to something a lot lighter. I know T/L boxes are the most efficient box, finicky as all get out because of tight tolerences.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the T/L box is the best output to weight.

im pretty sure that them hccas weight like 60-70 lbs a piece, in a race thats about .1 seconds. (yea i got bored one night and figured it out) but then your box should ALWAYS be built properly, theres nothing worse than having a crap box and nice system. if oyur going to put all that weight in there. then just do it right!

You do make a good point the car is about 320-350 H/P now, And I know that the 3S car can get up to 500-600 AWHP with the right mods.

Just do the system, then build up the HP to gain back the power to weight ratio.

Yeah I agree, maybe even 1 HCCA being that the car is a hatch, it is going to sound great.

its rear wheel drive? i guessing yes and if so a lil more weight on the rear wheels could be good

good point. just put it in there if you allready have it all, just make it removable if you want to race. like a said one night me and my buddy figured it all out, if oyu add 100 lbs its takes away like 1/10th of a second off the quarter mile. now this is with only doing 15's in the quarter. and its with a little cavalier. but with a larger car it might not be much of a weight to power issue than you think.

The Stealth R/T turbo cars are All Wheel Drive AND Steering (not ALL turbo's are all wheel stearing, I think that was nixed in 95.)

nice i never knew they had all wheel streeing in cars, how that handle, is it tricky backing up?

i still think a lil more weight on the wheels is always good
