I just got an email, with a death threat...

I don't know the email... It's Belanger22@att.net

The email account of which I recieved it, I don't use for anything....

Is there some way that I can find his IP from the email he sent?

doubtful, might try contacting the police, they can probably contact one of the depts at att and get more info. if we could search by email address i'd look it up for you at work tommorow

This ******* know's my name, and even the city and street I live on.

There has been about 4 emails so far. I've saved them, and printed them. I will be contacting the PD tomorrow morning.

I talked to my step dad, who is a PI, and he said it would be smart not to disclose any actual statements for anything from them, until it gets picked up by the PD for investigation.

I will tell you though, That they were saying shit like "I can have people close your eyes right now", Or "I'll light your *** up right now" shit like that.

The last email he was talking about him "beating my racist ***". So this means I obviously pissed someone of another race off, in some way.

I'm still trying to find some hard info on this uy with our investigation software and such, but only so much can be done with no IP address.

Well I can tell you this, taking it to the PD won't do much. They will just say they are threats. The police won't do anything until a threat is carried out. Your best bet is to do your own research. Since your dad is a PI, have him do a reverse email search to find out the person's registered name. You can do this yourself since there are services that offer this, but they usually charge a fee. Since this is an att.net email address, it'll come back to his ISP and give a real registered name as opposed to a yahoo, or hotmail account.

Yea, I know that. That's why I didn't go to the PD today.

My step dad told me about some program that I didn't know we had, so we used that, and BOOM I got his name, and location, then was able to run him thru our IRB program.

I called that shithead at 3:30 in the morning. I called, and he answered. Jack Belanger is his actual name, so I said is this Jack? He was like "Umm yes, who's this?" I'm like listen you piece of shit, keep ****ing with me, and watch what will happen. I told him that he was royaly ****ed for messing with me. Then he asked how did I get his number, and I told him don't worry about it, That's not all I have on you.

So to sum things up, he was some ******* that I banned off a forum I moderate, and he had a grudge, and must have been looking into every thing on me.
