need help

i was driving back form the mall when my amp and subs just turned off. i waited about an hour to turn it back on, but now the amp turns on but no sound. what could of happend?

what happened when they shut off? did you hit a bump or something? make sure your rca's are connected good at both your amp and HU

i forgot to say that evry thing shut off not just the amp and subs, the h/u too

Uh oh.... Hope you didn't have some kinda of "backfeed" does the amp come on in protect? or does the pretty green/blue light come on. If the amp doesn't go into protect. First thing I would look into is the head unit. If the head unit went down obviously the amp and the subs would too. Just wonder if you shorted something out in there. If you have a highs amp hook it up to rca's and see if it works. if not you prob found your problem

Or if a friend has some long rca's or if you some rca extenders run some from their car to your amp and find out

o no i took the box out and the pos wire on the terminal fell off. would that cause the h/u to turn off. but i hooked the wire back up and itworks perfect,

Lol looks like it did most likely

The power lead may have touched something, ground,speaker wire,case...Try different rca's and see if that works.
