Need Help

I just bought a car with a system already in it so i knew nothing about it. this is what happened

My Ground and my Power supply wires came out so i was putting them back in.

the installation was crappy from before and the wire ends sucked

while screwing them in they touched and sparked, alot and loud.

Ground wire has burn marks so i figured it was burnt and the fuse blew.

Then:

Got new Ground, Got new fuse (was a 60amp put a 80amp in, amp had 2x40 so i figure it should work)

It didnt work, then i tried it the next day, it worked for 2 min then stopped. duno what the problem is. fuse is fine.

check and see if the fuses on the amp blew

nah they good just looked earlier. My only guess is my Power feed wire is fried or the amp is fried. I would take it to a car audio place but i cant get the car on the road for a few days.

yeah is there anything that comes on such as a red light?

nah i dont even get the red or green light, no power is getting to the amp i think. My ground is grounded good too.

i say check your fuse under your hood again, it may look good but the real way to know, is if you take them out and examine, i would do that with all of them before you do anything else

u fried it brutha... open it up n see if u see any burnt parts like resistors n sh!t

ya i took them out, no sign of a blow or disconnection. could my feed wire been fried when it touched the ground. they touched while semi connected to amp =/ i dont kno whats wrong

take out ur amp and see if u can power it out of the install like with a power supply..

or with ur dmm check ur remote wire maybe u burnt the turn on lead in ur h/u

i wouldnt kno how to do half that stuff, think ill just wait till i register it at the end of the week and take it to this place my friend knows ppl at.

save some money man take the remote wire off the amp take ur pos. lead on the dmm and ground the ground lead of ur dmm with metal. turn ur radio on and see if u get a reading . if not theres ur problem

or take ur amp out of the car and take it and wire it directly to a car battery and run a wire fron the pos batt. post to ur remote and see if the amp turn on

ill have to take a DMM from work tomorrow and try all that.
