Im looking to buy some stuff and need some help big time on what sites to go to for the best prices

The list:

2 15" mtx 9500 subwoofers

Boston acoustics pro series 6.5 componet set

Phoenix gold xenon x200.4 amp

2 Phoenix gold xenon x1200.1 amps

also need a h/o alt for the car (72chevelle) was lookin for a 200 amp or so? Would i need to go with any other electrical up grades with what i listed above? Also was wondering how those sledgehammer box's are? Anyone heard the 9500's in one?

Are you willing to buy without a manufacturer's warranty? eBay can provide with some pretty outstanding deals if you're willing to invest some time into it and do some research. (into sellers' trading practices, product current average pricing, etc.) Some sellers offer their own warranties of varying lengths on some stuff. Just use your head and don't jump at the very first thing that looks like it will be a good deal.

With a car that old odds are the stock charging system isn't overly strong seeing as the energy needs for those older engines weren't too strenuous. You'd certainly wanna do the "Big 3" (see the stickied tutorial in the wiring section) and likely an HO alternator, too. The early-70s technology probably isn't up to the task of supplying current for an involved system.

Also was wondering how those sledgehammer box's are? Anyone heard the 9500's in one?

I personally have no experience with a Sledgehammer box - can't comment. I did hear a pair of 9500s on a Hifonics amp (dunno which model) and it sounded excellent.

no i dont need a manufactures warranty i have found basically a good price on everything now except the componets anybody know where i could find them with like a web site warranty....i dont always really trust ebay and i dont really want anything used
