Need help with wiring MTX 6x9s

hey...probably a simple question for you guys...have a 94 infiniti with stock bose speakers that **** royally....bought two mtx 6x9s...the bose were connected with FOUR wires and i have to figure out how to wire them to TWO wires coming from the MTXs...the bose were connected with two thicker wires and two thinner wires...need to figure out what each wire does and if i even need to use all of em ....thanks for your help.

not really sure how that works but I think that you will probably find that the smaller wires are for the highs and the larger guage is for the mids and lows there shouldnt be any negative effects to hooking both wires together (p to p and neg to neg ) of course. I say shouldnt be any negative affects because I think its just a simple component setup and not seperate amp outputs. best bet is to go to a dealer and ask about it. if it is seperate amp outputs then you will have to set your speakers up differently like buy an extra set of 20 dollar tweeters and hook them up to the small wires.

do you still have the factory cd player? if so the speakers aren't gonna work because each speaker has an amp on it from the factory... if you do... take the 2 smaller wires... and connect that 2 the speaker... at least that's how i THINK it is... if ya can't figure it out pull the headunit and see what color wires the rear speakers are connected to... then use those wires at the speaker to connect the 6x9's to
