i picked up a kenwood excelon recently for under $140. has front port for usb and auxilery(ipod connect) and puts out good sound quality for the price.

just depends if you are going to do it yourself or not. you can pick up a dash kit and wiring harness for under 100 bucks(google it to find out) and do it within a couple hours. if you arent good with installation at all i would recommend taking it to a few different shops and getting a quote for installation. alot of places will notice you dont know much and overcharge the hell out of you. would probably be over $100 either way

Its not too complicated,all you need is a wiring harness to connect into the factory wiring of the stock HU(its a clip on) should only cost you 13-15 bucks if you get it with the intallation kit for your truck.The rest is just matching wires from the HU to the aftermarket harness.

You can go on youtube and watch video tutorials on how to install aftermarket radios,but i promise you its not hard.

If u get a basic after market hu probably lookin around 120 - 200 depends on the features u want?? Some shops offer free install on head units And as far as bass I would go with maybe a single 12 under the bak seat nothing to much maybe change out front en speakers and add some tweet ! My opinion on that budget I just got sumtin basic for my ride an I spent 1500 hu/spk/amp/box not including mids an highs!!!

i am planning on getting a bigger amp in a couple of mounths.. should i wait until i have a new amp to get speakers?

This.For the most part you'll just need a phillips head screwdriver and a panel remover or flathead screwdriver,whichever you prefer.
