I think those JL's are dual 4 ohm. so they very well could be wired for a 1ohm load. resulting in the amp shutting off to protect itself.

can you take a pic of your wiring with the woofers inside the box? I think I know your problem. only thing is when you do wire the woofers correctly you will be running them at 4ohm's... you may wanna try and get a 1 ohm stable amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yup dual 4ohm. probably wired at 1 ohm

ya im almost 100% sure you wired it to 2 ohm there then when the other woofer is wired the same way you have a 1ohm load.

both woofers are the same like that.

its connected at 2ohms for both speakers. thats how it originally came.

so then what now ?

you have to wire each woofer for an 8 ohm load to get a 4ohm load. or leave the wiring as is and get a 1ohm stable amp
