Need help with subs and speakers.

Whats the point in using a cooler if its going to look like that?
Go to parts express.

Pick up 2 pro audio mids and 2 pro audio tweets with proper caps for the mids and tweets to use as a crossover.

Pyle PPA8 8" PA Speaker

Pyle PDBT18 Bullet Horn Tweeter Pair

Thats $50 without shipping and you can get $5 off using promo code LD5

Now no more cooler threads.....
Cause they like like the way that looks, Im just the messenger. So will all that get loud? They are wanting something loud so they dont have to run their cars. I dont know much about speakers so im differing to yall who know WAY more then me. By caps do you mean like a cover/grill?

Yes it will get loud. Way louder than any car audio speakers. I run 6 pro audio 6.5s and 4 3" super tweets in my car. A lot of people run pro audio now. Caps meaning capacitors. The tweeters come with them. The mids just use the amp crossover.

I used my car for music at a party last night. Played for 4 hours no problem on battery power.

Ok thanks, now would that be with no sub cause if I can still get one, I have no idea on where to put those 8in speakers.

You can, especially since you're not having to worry about stereo sound, you can have mono since there's no center. However you'll only be able to wire to certain impedances which will control the power. Basically you need to know what impedance the speakers you get are, and whether to wire them in series or parallel and what final impedance that will be. 2 svc 4ohm speakers can be wired to 2 ohms or 8 ohms.
He can totally do it with that powerbass amp. two, 4 ohm single voice coil speakers on each front channel and bridged subwoofer out. He needs a D2 sub though but none are in his price range. realistically he needs 100$ for coaxials and another 60 for the sub.

Nopt as simple as throwing a pvc pipe in a box and calling it a day..
If you want to go the 6x9 route

I would not do a subwoofer. I would do the 2 8"s and tweets I mentioned earlier.
Ok, now I have 2 different views. Why do you say no to the sub? And yes, I know about Aero ports and how they work. Not sure what to tune them to but know how to use them HAHA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

knowing how to use them means you know how to tune it properly. Cant just slap it on. With speakers, you dont normally tune down to 30s as you would with subwoofers. 40hz+ tuning is generally recommended for speakers. I didnt read the posts before, but those pyle pro 8s+ supertweets or soundqubed 6x9s are good choices. If anything you can try to make an adjustable aero port for the first speaker and see which length is the sweet spot and use that length for the rest of the speakers.

Also if you are getting port noise, you have to flare out the ends or get 2 inch aeros

Man so many options. So hard to pick. Im sure their is no best option. I wish homie would chime in about the sub. If the sub is use less, i would use that money towards those supertweets and then either the 8in or 6.5s. Im worried the 6x9 may be to big for that design I linked.

a subwoofer would pull more current then speakers so you really need a strong agm if you want to play for more then an hour. Plus it wont fit in your budget.

45-60 you can get some kenwood and pioneer 10 inch single voice coil subs or a lanzar max 10

25-45 is the boss category and you know how that turns out...

HAHA. Yea, I got a car battery at my local auto shop that is used but has been tested and is still good. They want $45 and have 3 diff sizes. One of them is MASSIVE. I may port the speakers if that will serve to replace the sub.

you can always cut a hole, make a box and add a subwoofer later man, just tell those HS kids to increase the budget an extra 50 bucks if they want a sub upgrade later.

If you do just plan on going ported, i'd go with the pyle pro 6.5s because they only need .7 cubic feet ported. Vs the 8s needing 2 cubic feet ported, going by parts express's recommended specs.

Just though of a funny idea. Imagine you get 8, 8 inch PA speakers.
