need help with sound deaden trunk!! *pics*

Foam inside the support will be best. Just keep in mind your adding mass to the panel that is vibrating. No matter how you do it it is not going to be very pretty. You can buy a roll of ensolite from raamat and a can of spray adhesive after your done to cover the peel and seal. The only difference between peel and seal and dynamat or similiar is the amount of black tar material under the foil. The thickness is greater on the Audio products and that is why they are refered to as better.

I used a cardboard template, roller, heatgun, and the round side of a screwdriver to contour the deadener.

There is nothing wrong with peel and seal, it just takes multiple layers to get the job done. You could use spray on bedliner and it would work out great. If you can keep it from getting on everything else.

I had terrible luck wirh peel and seal on my trunk last summer

I live in Texas but outside temp was about 90 and inside was about 100

When I went to try to open my trunk it was stuck.

I slowly opened it and there was black goo allover my carpet and box

Id do some good deadner on the trunk lid

i have put expand foam inside those cracks and alos here is my peal n seal job..works fine for me i put it on in 20 degree weather. took the hairdryer to the back of it heated it up stuck right on and hasnt wanted to come off..It doesnt bother me how it looks.. just how it sounds and from what i have done i cant tell a big difference from no deadener to the alternative.. .

They dont all work the same. Peel N Seal just adds mass. Its just a sticky goo.

If youre getting rid of it in a couple months, I wouldnt put it on. I wouldnt wanna see it if I was buying a car. And if you take it off, there will be black goo everywhere. It will stain your trunk lid.
