Need help with pricing

My friend said that the person he gets all his car audio gear from can get the Pioneer AVIC-N1 head unit for 750 with full factory warranty. I talked to my guy and he said theyre going for 900 now. Do you think the 750 dollar one is legit? Thanks, I'm trying to purchase this soon so help is appreciated.

Best way to find out is to contact pioneer with the guys information (store name, address, etc), and ask if the person offering to sell it for $750 is an authorized dealer.

Without knowing any of the parties involved, it's nearly impossible for us to say whether or not it's legit. It is possible to find some killer deals from some dealers, if you've worked closely with them for a few years. Many dealers have a minimum order quantity they must place with their distributors/manufacturers to maintain their status as an authorized dealer....and if they order more than they actually need in inventory, they'll "hand" some out to good customers at great prices.
