Need Help with OS ijnstall

I just got windows 7 professional. I am wanting to install it on a vista machine, its been 2 years since i have installed an os, and that was only on a virtual machine, and i am now a retard. I have the iso file on dvd, where do i go from here? I dont want to have both on my HD, i want to do a fresh install, not have vista, then 7 on a partition. Thanks for any help

go into bios

set boot sequence to boot from dvd drive first

restart computer

when booting allow computer to boot from the cd

enter repair portion of the windows that is loaded up

format hard drive

reboot

boot from dvd

install windows.

Profit??

Pop it in, restart... When "Press any key to boot from CD..." u press a key. Follow instructions.

the iso wouldnt read it has to be unpacked first to run

so i am having to redownload it through microsoft and then well see

in about 2 hours....
