I am thinking about putting a new system in my truck and need help with the build. I have about $1000 to spend. I would like to keep my factory head unit because I have XM/onstar/audio controls on the wheel. I want to go with components in the front ,coaxials in the back, and a single 10 or 12 (I only have 6.5" mounting depth to play with). I was thinking 5 chan amp to run everything. I'm looking for sound quality. Can I run the Kicker 10ZX700.5 at 4 ohms for the interiors and 2 ohms for the sub or would everything have to be at either 2 or 4 ohms? This is what I have come up with so far:
Kicker 10ZX700.5
