(alpine m1000 amp pushing 2 type R 10's)

is it better to:

A) have your gain set on say 60% with a db setting maxed out at +12

OR

B) have your gain set on say 85% with the db setting on a minimum of +0

OR

C) have your gain set on say 75% with a db setting of +4 or maybe +6

none of your options, and for this reason; all of your gain settings may potentially be clipping the amp. No bass boost for sure, but there is no magical % for gain, there are many factors in what may make the amp clip, but the overlaying one would simply be turning the gain to high

oh ya, i know that, i was just hypothetically trying to figure out if it was ok to have the db on 0 therefore you have to turn up the gain more to get the same output effect. but obv have to check it with some test tones and a meter to ensure im not clipping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok I just went from the pdx 1.600 to the m1000 the amp is pushing 2 type Rs at 2 ohms they are the newest ones so they are like 600 rms each now I noticed a big difference in the amps the digital amp sounds very good but doesn't seem as full as the m1000. That said can anybody tell me how to adjust the settings so that its as loud as possible without harming anything? Plus anybody know what I should do for powering the amp so my car runs normal when I'm listening to it?
