need help with Megaloud amp

I have a Megaloud VX-1200.4 that went into protect on me and I'm not too familiar with this particular amp and was wondering if anybody had any experience and could help me figure out what the problem is. To my understanding the amp went into protect due to some kind of short in the speaker wiring, so I pulled it out and only hooked up power and its still in protect so I don't know what to do, any help is much appreciated!

If you pulled speaker wires out of amp and waited for amp to cool down and protect light is still on.

Most likely your amp is mega fried. Did it smoke? Did it get real hot? You smell any smoke? What ohms speakers and how did you wire it?

Last Q do you have a inline fuse by battery on amp wire?
