Look how small the surround is. You like can't even see it in the picture it's so small.

the surround ripped? how did that happen?

Look at the surround. It can surrport like 14mm of excursion. Smaller surround I've ever seen on Non mainstream woofer.

The size of the surround shouldn't matter how much power the sub can handle.

Example: the spider lets the woofer have 30mm and the surround has 15mm... Where's it gunna fail at.
