Need help with design for 9518

[vroom'n'boom]

Just got a DD 9518 and I'm looking to build a box for a Grand Marquis. I've currently got it in a 6 cubic foot box right now tuned to 32 and I know for a fact it could be doing more than what it is. The dimensions of my trunk are as follows:

Width: 36 inches

Height: 26 total

Depth: 26 total

Got any ideas???

20deep is tuned to 33hz with 13" per port ft

What you want out of it? I'd do 6.5 tuned to 36 with 80in^2-90in^2.. if you want abit more low end do 7 tuned to 35..

I used 300 when I had that 9515 back in 03.. enough to get in the box.. fun times

It was on a crunch powerzone 3000amp. Has two 70a fuse so a 1500watt amp max lol. Was doing a 147db and it played everything lows and highs until the surround ripped.

Seems like a lot of port area for one sub.

That box is very short. Like 13-15inch tall. So that port wasn't really big. I think it was like 107" or so... I'm a fan of shorted the better. That box is in my brother garage still. Re baffled it and put a 15" audiobahn in it and it hammered!

Yea I can see the depth isn't much, below window line. I think max height is 16 at least in my 'hoe.

Think that sub was rated at 3000 rms and it ripped the surround on 1/2 power?

Look how small the surround is. You like can't even see it in the picture it's so small.

the surround ripped? how did that happen?
