need help with box design

I have a 12" Kicker cvx and a MA Audio HK1000d. Should I build a sealed or ported box? I'm putting these in a 1997 Nissan ext. cab pickup. Can anyone give me some advice?

Build a ported box. 2 cubic feet internal with 32 square inches of port.

I've never really used high quality subs before so I'm not used to having really loud bass. I've had pioneer,kenwood,sony,old fosgate and mtx. How much better is kicker?

Kicker stuff will get loud. I'm really not a big kicker fan myself, but it'll be a little loud. Btw, there is still room to upgrade to a higher quality brand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

can someone reccomend a sound deadening material? I've looked at a few different brands and can't decide if I should get the cheaper stuff like elemental designs e-dead(I think that's what it's called) or the higher priced stuff like dynamat or something in between like audio barrier or hushmat. Has anyone had experience with a few different brands and can tell me the difference?
