//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif I just installed a clarion pro audio five channel amp, i got it used. i bought a box and a new set of 12's. for some reason the bass seems low, i have the head unit set to fader rear 4 and bass +6. the only time i feel the bass is when i pan all the sound to the left or the right. i also have the gain up all the way on the first 4 channels, it has two knobs for this. channel five has its own knob and a bass boost knob. it this supposed to be the sub channel? if so how do i run 2 subs?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif that's why I'm thinking I bridged it wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh and to top that off, for some reason now, when i arm my alarm, it waits 20 seconds and then the alarm sounds? i have both power wiresfor the amp and alarm hooked directly to the battery because i ****, lol. could that be a reason?

Not familiar with this amp but channel 5 is the sub channel. If the amp has a LP setting for channel 5 set it at 80hz. Do you have RCA cables run to all 5 channels?

What Head unit are you using? Does it have a sub output? Need a little more info to help you.

clarion head unit, no sub out that I know of, it has a set of rca outs the i'm using.

this is my basic set up:

head unit rcas to amp, the amp has 4 rca inputs - ch1 and ch3 are left and ch2 and ch4 are right.

i have the speaker wires from the sub box running into the 1 and 3 channels.

this amp has alot of stuff on it that wasn't on my last one, i snapped a few pics, maybe they'll help you, help me.

you'll notice that the rca's are in 1 and 4, i did that for the pic

When manufacturing companies build speakers they do it in phases. winter phase, spring phase, etc.

They usually replace the factory workers (kids) between phases in order to protect company secrets, so the speakers they were building on the last day of summer phase were completed by the new guys in Fall phase who didn't know what they were doing - they don't spend much money training these guys in Asia.

Consequently, the speakers were started in one phase & finished out of phase. The crew that finished your speakers didn't know which terminal went to positive & negative, so the terminals are probably reversed on one of your woofers.

That's what out of phase means. If anyone tells you different they're lying - I alone speak the real truth.

Take-home message: Switch pos & neg on ONE of the woofers & see if that solves your bass/balance problem.

got it working, i moving the plug that was in the ch3 rca input to the ch4 and it kicked on, i tink because i used 1 and 3 it canceled a channel out. now, my alarm is still triggering by itself, any suggestions? it started doing that right after i hooked up the amp.
