Need help with amp choice

I have an '02 Jeep Wrangler that I am slowly redoing they sound sytem. I've ordered a Pioneer DEH-X7500HD from crutchfield and have an old 10" MTX Thunder 6000 that I'd like to downfire in the rear. From what I can tell it is an 8 ohm speaker (my multimeter read 6.2, but I think the batter is low) with a 150 watt RMS rating.

From what I can understand I can use a 4 ohm amplifier, but I will need to double the rms requirement, so I'll be looking for a 300 watt, 4 ohm amp, correct? Also, I am thinking about getting a 5 channel amp (receiver has 6 preamp outs) so I can amp the 4 other speaker in the jeep (I plan on 2-5.25" and 2- 6.5" speakers), will I look for 4 ohm speaker to run through the same amp? Sorry if none of this makes sense, if I need to clarify something, please let me know.

I should mention that I'm going for a "bang for you buck" build, and trying to keep the cost down so if you have a specific recommendation, I'm looking at lower-midrange to midrange equipment for now.

Sorry, I was mainly trying to find out if my understanding was correct, but as for budget I'd like to keep it around $150-200. Less is preferable as my soft top jeep isn't very secure, so I don't want to cry too much if its stolen. Any opinion on the Planet Audio Anarchy series?

If you get planet audio. Big Bang amps only. I have a used bb175.4 for sale used for $120 shipped if interested. But a 4 channel will be fine. Run 2 channels bridged for the sub and 2 channels for the fronts. Run the rear off deck power. It'll prolly sound better to You still need a amp kit as well and some extra speaker wire

if you dont have speakers or an amp yet I dont think that budget will get you speakers and 5ch amp. I would probably focus on sub amp and mids. And yes you are right on the power output difference at 4 and 8 ohm.

I appreciate the offer, but right now I'm building kind of slowly. I'm trying to get a game plan together at this point. My receiver just shipped today, so I'm in replenishment mode of my funds.

The specs look good on that one. At 70 watts/channel RMS on the amp, will that be too much for 6.5's that are rated for around 60 watts RMS (peak is 180 watts)? I'm looking at Polk DXi651's.

I do understand. aren't we all if you look at lower end equipment. You might be able to get what you want. But if if you look on the forum here. You

May find better used equipment for your money. Down fall is no warranty tho.

I'm not opposed to used (not abused) equipment. When I'm ready to buy I'll probably look at the classified section to see if there's a good deal.

I totally managed to miss this comment. You're right, I was thinking $150-200 for the amp.
