Need help with a tensel replacement

On my Kicker CVR 15" a tinsel broke. I want to replace it but I don't know what to use. When I connect the tinsel back to the metal base the sub plays. Can a shop replace or someone I can ship to that does this?

that silicone you use to put rear view mirrors on should do the trick, for a while at least. might be able to get a good high while your at it too!

Does anyone know what to use to remove the glue thats on the base now?
