need help wit my amp

i have a rockford fosgate amp and it has the option of selecting HP ( high pass) , LP (low pass), and AP ( all pass). i was wondering which one is best to use.

ps. dont kno if this information is need but i have one 700 rms sub and the amp is bout 400 rms
