hm i think i have to use link one and wire it in a series at 4ohms? but would it still play 500 watts at 4ohm or is it louder at 2 ohms?

1 sub at 2 ohms on your amp will get 1000 rms ( by rated specs ) which is gonna be louder than 1 sub at 4 ohms but u cant get 2 ohms 1 or 4 only whetever ur amp does at 4 ohms ( 500 rms speced ) is what u will get. what amp do u have?

with 2 subs wired like i showed you will still only get 500 per sub but you will double ur cone area which in "Theory" is supposedly +3b louder.

this is the amp i have wired at 2 ohms using a CVT kicker slim 12".. it realy seems like its only playing at 500 watts when it suposed to be 1000w so i think my amp may be semi broken

I didnt know ohms were louder, fuck, why do i even have subs, i just need ohms and im fucking set.

Instead of assuming his amp makes more power at 2 ohm why dont you check and make sure he doesnt have a JL or something that makes power equally at all ohm loads. And why dont you correct your statement so this kid doesnt walk around thinking he can say ohms are louder without a grasp of impedence (sp?).

So you think you can listen to an amp and know how many watts it plays. You should be an SPL judge.
