Need help wiring 3 MTX 6000 10" to Orion Extreme 800, keep blowing amp fuses

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I currently have 3 MTX 6000 10" in box, with an Orion Extreme 800 amp.

What would be correct way to wire the subs to the amp? I believe this is the cause to blow fuses on the amp, I positive all my other connections are good.

Below is how the subs are wired now to the connector on the box. I have the amp bridged to box.

It wont let me link the image...

All 3 subs are wired from neg terminal on sub to the neg connector on the box, all pos right from terminal on sub to pos terminal on connector on box.

Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams

check that out make sure to read the article as well for further understanding of what your looking at.

but they shouldnt be able to drop to 1.33 im pretty sure

the lowest you could go is 2 ohms i think which should be fine unless 2 ohms is your lowest stable load..in which case you run the risk of drawing too much power which could lead to blown fuses.

You could either try re-wiring it to get a a higher ohm load (will lead to less power output but could solve the problem at least) use bigger fuses (maybe your fuses are too small now?) but doing this you run the risk of frying the amp.. Or get new subs or amp

is the amp a mono or 2-channel? how exactly do you have it wired now
