Need help wiring 2 subs parrell.....

I have 2 subs and i need to wire them parell. i know how to wire one sub parell but do u have to do somthing different when wireing 2? or do u just wire each one parell? Also my amp suggest 100 amp fuse but instead of one fuse i was told i should use 2.... should i get 2 60amp or 2 80amp?

Well slap the person that said use two, and then proceed to ask them why they said it...

As to how to wire them, have you looked in the vc wiring options thread? It's very useful.

And what size power/ground wire are you using? If your amp is not internally fused, which I am guessing it isnt since it recommends a fuse size, you should fuse the power wire to protec the amp, while still making sure you do not fuse over the current threshold of the wire. Get what I just said?

I am running 2 2ohm Kicker L7's and a Rockford 1500BD amp my wirers are 1/0 gauge. I it wired to 1ohm to.

You cannot wire two, dvc2ohm subwoofers to 1ohm, sorry dude. It is either showing .5ohm, 2ohm, or 8ohms. And, since you are using 1/0awg wire, I would suggest using an inline fuse rated at 100A.

The thing is, if you fuse it @ 100A, which is what the amp's manual suggests, then you dont have to worry about the wire melting because 1/0 is rated near 250A I believe. So by the time enough current was flowing through the wire to melt it, the fuse would have already opened up. Get me?

1/0awg is rated at 350A.. I would use a 200-350A fuse.

And what is the difference in wiring subs parrell and serial.. like which way is better? Also my amp runs 1500x1ohm and my subs are 1500watts peak will my amp still run 1500watts at .5ohms?

DO NOT wire your subs to .5ohm, that will cause the amp to blow most likely.

And as I said, use something around 100A, prefferably not larger.

yea its fine if u wire it to a 2ohm load, the amp can run at 2 ohms, so it will work
