Hey guys I really need some help here. I'm new to this site so forgive me if I do something wrong. I have 2 12 inch kicker comps. They are 2 ohms svc. My amp is a performance teknique icbm-6673 2 channel 1200 watt 2 ohm amp. How would I wire that. Kickers app says it can't be done and crutchfield shows to wire sub 1 positive and negative to amps channel 1 positive and neg. Same with sub 2 but to the 2nd channel. Can you guys help me out on how to wire this. Thanks in advance

Both speakers wired like this, one on each channel. Dont mind the 4 ohm in the pic, its the same for 2 ohm.

Awesome thanks. So wire one sub to channel one and the other sub to channel 2. Thanks. So having a 2 ohm 2 channel amp would be ok with two subs that are svc 2 ohm if I hook them up like that?

Yes. But make sure you use an RCA Y-splitter to connect the exact same stereo signal into Ch1 L/R as you are feeding to Ch2 L/R inputs on the amp.

And match the gains on Ch1 & Ch2 as closely as possible (use a DMM or scope).

Are the subs in the same enclosure or separate? If in the same enclosure , is it sealed or ported? If sealed, is it one chamber or two?

Subs are in the same enclosure it's ported. I'm sorry but I'm so confused about the rest. I've hooked up plenty of car stereos and door speakers but amps and subs are completely new to me. I thought it would be as easy as running sub 1 to channel 1 and sub 2 to channel to then hooking up the amp to deck and power and ground.

You are good to go hooking up sub 1 to ch 1, and sub 2 to ch 2. What are you connecting to the amp inputs?

Ok. Let me explain what I'm doing. You already have the specs so I won't explain that buy I'm hooking up sub 1 to channel 1 and sub 2 to channel 2. Hooking up power wire to batter with fuse very close to battery and other end to the b+ on amp. Hooking amp ground to chassis. And hooking up the power antenna wire on my deck to the remote terminal on amp. Then the amp input to the input on the back of my deck. Does that sound about right? I got these used so I have no instructions but it's going in an hhr and there are no chassis bolts nearby. Can I use a self tapper to ground it to chassis? And last but not least what do I set my gain at? And x-over? And x-over frequency? I don't not know what those 3 mean? Thank you for all your help guys. Such a big help. I was gonna take it to a shop but I want to learn on my own. Car audio intrigues me. Thanks

Gain is set in relation to your head unit's pre-amp voltage.

There is a fairly simple process to setting a gain accurately using a digital multi-meter (DMM). There's a tutorial on the site in one of the sticky's.

You can also do it by ear if you take some time.

Crossover -- set to LPF (low pass filter)

Crossover frequency -- some personal preference can be used here. Generally a 12 will work best in the 80hz range, but it may sound best anywhere from 70 to 120 hz. There's really no right or wrong on this.
