need help upgrading

i want to upgrade from my alpine type s. i have a MRD-605 alpine amp (600 rms@2 ohms). so anyone have any suggestions on what to get? im looking for 1 12'' or maybe even a 15''. and lastly im looking for a little more spl then sq. thanks guys.

edit: budget is 150-175 on a single sub

600 might be enough to get an Type R moving...but then again eveyone says that you need 1200 watts to do that.

whenever the new Power Series subs from JBL come out..mmhmm...600 will do them nicely...

im always hearing about diamond audio. are they just over hyped like the type r's?

Type R will get louder than D6. But D6 possibly beats Type R in SQ. Havent heard the D6 but from reviews it is a good SQ sub.

well im looking for more loud then SQ. and i think thats why im leaning towards a type r. but i was just wondering if any one had any better suggestions
