Need HELP running wire for door speakers (pics inside)

My problem is that I can't get my after market wire into the doors to feed my components. I don't trust the little 22ga stuff to handle up to 150 watts so I bought some 16ga Karma SS stuff. It's really nice, etc.

I can get to the door and once inside the door I would be ok, but I am unable to bridge the door-cabin gap.

As in most cars there is a little piece of rubber hose that I thought I would be able to run my wire through, but it uses a plastic plug to connect to the car body - I imagine to facilitate changing the door. So, I don't think I can use that outlet.

So, I thought, I'll just drive a little hole in both of the sides and just run my wire across the gap in the open, and use gaskets. The Knuconceptz Karma SS stuff has an extra layer of plastic, too. However, the angle which the door opens won't allow me to drill a hole into the body panel, which also can't be drilled from behind. Once I took my door panels off, I also realized that there is a metal structuring bar that won't let me squeeze my drill to make that hole either.

I'm frustrated and out of ideas.

Here are the pics of my predicament.

If there is anyway to get my wire in there short of taking my doors off, I would love to hear the ideas.

Thanks, guys.

There is a plug used to attach the wires in the door to their respective wires in the rest of the car. It totally covers the hole in the sheet metal, so I can't even just squeeze the wire beside it.

Any installers know what to do in such a case?

pop the grommet and, find the hole route wires to it then, with the rubber wire grommet out you should be able to fish your wires through the rubber sleeve and into the door and thus they will be routed into the door.

There is a plug there, so the hole is sealed up.

I have the same issue...This molex has 4 clips on the inside under the dash, and is **** near impossible to push in all 4 at once when your hand is at that angle. In short of removing the door, or splicing the factory wire, I see no other way...

Here is a write-up i did for an Infiniti G35. It should be relatively similar except the vehicle specific parts. It will give you a good idea what you need to do.

Running Speaker Wire Through Molex.doc

I was able to do it without removing the doors since i could pull the molex below the dash. If you cant get it out, you may need to remove your doors to drill through it.

Hope this helps!

Drill a hole through the plug is how I usually do it.

On fully loaded cars the plug may be totally full and not have room to drill a hole.

Three options then:

use stock wiring

drill a hole, use a grommet, and loom the wire. zip tie it to the factory rubber boot if you want, it wont get pinched that way.

firebomb the manufacturers headquarters out of frustration.
