well direct from them would be about 400 bucks. jcwhitney just for today has free shipping on anything over 75 bucks. so i would save $50 and since gas around my area is at $3.35 every penny counts however i would buy it direct if jcwhitney is not authorized. i think im gonna order it today, since they wont ship until they open tomorrow, and ill call mean green early tomorrow and ask if they are authorized. that way i have a window of time where i can cancel my order and just order direct from mean green. i called today but i called at 2:30 pacific time and i forgot they are about 3 hours ahead lol so that makes sense why they didnt pick up the phone.

but yes, i wont buy anything from iraggi or excessive amperage. my choices were either the h-o alternator (which was ~450) and the mean green (350 shipped today or ~379 shipped after today).

ehhhh, read some reviews on jcwhitney, and it seems products arent shipped on time, poor packaging, blah blah blah...gonna see if i can find another store, if not im going direct

edit: good thing i found this! **** THAT IM GOING DIRECT!

" **Read the full review for information about how and where to complain** This company is a dropshipping front operation with its call center in a boiler room in India. They do business under several different company names and their scam is to send the wrong parts so you will have to pay a 20% restocking fee. Because they are dropshipping they probably make more money from that bogus restocking fee than they do from an actual sale, so the incentive is to rip you off. Customer service is non-existent. They will ignore your emails and if you try to speak to a supervisor at their call center you will be put on hold indefinitely until you go away.

jc whitney is a "front operation"? they've been in business basically as long as there have been cars.... way before the internets and call centers in strange lands...

they may have some disgruntled customers... and i personally haven't bought anything from them in a long time, but back in the day i bought MANY things from them... you could always get something cheaper at jc whitney, and often get things you couldn't get anywhere else...

i'd be interested in seeing that review... i'm not doubting you... i'm just curious, because i'd have no problems ordering from them, and am wondering if i should change that opinion... possibly something has drastically changed...

fwiw, mean greens are nice pieces... i had one in my last truck... a dependable product that does what they say it will do and do it for a long time...

i found a couple sites with reviews of them. but here is one

http://www.epinions.com/pr-Online_Stores_Services-Auto_Parts_Warehouse_com/display_~reviews

the site, prices, deals and everything else is the same for all the stores listed in my other post. the only difference is each site is named something else.

heres one for jc whitney specifically

http://www.epinions.com/webs-Web_Services-All-Merchants-JC_Whitney/display_~reviews

although i dont doubt you either, im having a very hard time convincing myself to drop the cash for it from jc whitney. id much rather buy it from mean green direct now.

edit: shit my bad that previous post wasnt not for jc whitney. sorry. but this post is.

thanks george... i can see from the reviews why you would be wary... sometimes it's worth spending a few extra bucks for peace of mind... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i couldn't figure out how whitney was hooked to the other "companies" though...

given the way things work in today's internet world, it wouldn't surprise me if the same company was operating a hundred different "front" names... so i don't doubt at all the reviews on autopartswarehouse et.al.

ok, now i see... it wasn't for whitney...

the whitney connection i found on someone review, and since a lot of the reviews were bad i figured that jc whitney was a bad place to buy from as well. and i accidently posted that the first link was for jcwhitney when in fact it was from a different online store. i just got confused since i was tryin to find reviews for all the sotres lol. oh well, i figure i might as well just go direct. might pay more but like you said, peace of mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

edit: just caught your edit lol. no reason for this post then haha

ok one last bump...for anyone with experience. should i go with the mean-green and save some coin...or should i just go all out and get the H-O brand alternator?

Mean Green is the ghey of all ghey alts out there now a day, nobody wants them because of that one reason
**** you have no life eh? what did i say to you that made you go in all my threads and actually waste your time posting in them? sooo gay haha
