i just installed my 8445, and i started to set my gains with my dmm. well i dont know if i just never noticed this b4 or it just started happening, but each channel is giving a different V readout. as you know im sure the front 2 channels have 1 gain knob and the rear 2 have another. well i set the front and the left channel read 17.3V (what i planned to set it at), but the right read like 20.xV. wtf is that about? im almost positive this didnt happen to me b4 on this amp. and i havent set the rear channels yet, but with the gain all the way down, the left channel reads 2.48V and the right channel reads 2.39V. what do i do?

ok so much for a quick response...

anyways, i was talking to req and he suggested setting the gains bridged (or something to that affect). anyways, i think i know what he means, but what i dont know is what V to set them to. i know on my 1000/1 the dual outputs are wires in parrellel, but i dont know if that holds true for my 300/4. if it does then by my calculations...

sqrt(power*resistance)=V

sqrt(150*2)=17.3V right?

and that makes no **** sense. so if theyre not wired in parrallel they must be wired in series, so...

sqrt(150*8)=34.64 right?

this is approximatly what my dmm was reading when i tested it bridged. so this sounds like itll work. can some1 confirm this for me?

Wire the speakers to reach a 4 ohm load, and then bridge it to get 24.49v
