Need help/Problems with installing Dual XHD7714

Hey guys

i was wondering if you guys could help me with my installation. I wired everything together with a wiring harness for my Toyota Previa but when I start up the stereo, the speakers pop and whine. also when i start the engine, the sound becomes muffled at higher volumes (starts crackling). in addition to that, when i turn on the lights or use the power windows, it seems like the power is interrupted. i think it might be because i just twisted the wires together and wrapped it around with electrical tape. any ideas?
