Speaking of XTREMLY reliable engines look at old caddilac engines, you'll prolly find a bunch of old 69-74 eldarado/devilles, sitting in a junkyard by your house, the bodies on the old cadillacs fall apart easy, but the engines are rated to be good for at around 500,000 miles oh and the engines range from 425-500 cid V8s:thumbsup: , they put out more hp and torque then some of those trucks combined:smash: of course as far as the fuel economy goes....

S10s = gutless w/ poor fuel economy ... And none of my friends seem to have good luck w/ reliability either ...

see Alex, i told you that s10's were crap for milage...other than the old 2.8 4 bbl carb motor, my dad had 180,000 on his. get a mazda....its not "japaplastic" atleast my 87 isnt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif guy i met has 250,000+ miles on his original block/internal/heads all that....just new pumps and belts .....gotta love it. get a ranger or taco.....chevy is played.

yea thats about the funniest thing i have ever heard. where do you think the expression, "rattles like a nissan truck" came from? s10s are some of the most reliable trucks out there. and as long as he is going to be hauling stuff why not do it in STYLE??

neways, s10's look good w/ a little drop ,18's,tint and all the little goodies, and has good aftermarket support

or u could raise it , put sum moshers on and all that..

id vote for the s10.cheaper to maintain, looks the best, and well, its a chevy

don't get an S10 without the 4.3...seems like such a sin to me

ahhh yes, gutless after 100,000 miles that is. most of the 4.3's you find are garbage. i would know i looked at most of the s10's in florida cuz i wanted one.

i can say i have never heard that sayin, nor heard a nissan truck rattle. all my guys that own nissans are hard as a rock. s10 are not the most reliable trucks. the 2.2 4 banger 1) has no balls and 2) cannot take high mileage....which most are once again high mileage motors and thats the main reason for selling them.
