need help on the big 3

I'm doing the big 3 upgrade, using 4 gauge wire for now,I'm just trying to make my lights to stop dimming, later i will upgrade to 0 gauge wire, my alternator puts 90 amps. i was wondering if i put 100a fuse holder on alternator to battery wire. does it need to be the same as the alternator amps.....

Its ur car do as u want with it... Fuse based on the wire.. If wire is good for 100amps then fuse at that if its able to hold 150amps then fuse with that.
