Whining sound after install of components?

I finally got my components in and installed, which was a PITA, but nevertheless got it complete last night and a whole lot of whining coming through the speakers and it gets louder when accelerating. From searching, it may be a ground issue or rca/speaker wire interference, I plan to trouble shoot when I get off work, but had a question about the ground. I've got a 5 channel amp (Eclipse XA5000), and was just running the sub by itself, for about two months now, until I got my components. Since I just have the one ground wire to the amp, wouldn't this have happened through the sub as well if it was a problem with the ground? Because I never had any problems with that part of it.

try making a new ground for your headunit

prolly bad rca's then ,or rca's too close to some kind of power wire

check your RCAs and if there good ide say u got a bad set of speakers.

did you happen to unplug or plug in your RCAs when the system was on?

Looks to be an easy fix, I swapped out rca's that were going to the sub to my fronts and the sound pretty much went away. I can barely hear it and that is with the volume at zero. I think I will just buy two sets of rca's, for front and sub inputs, that way they are matching. Since I have to run one set, might as well do the other! Although I am a little suprised, because the rca giving me the problem came with the Knu amp kit (4 guage cca). I figured they would be somewhat decent, but the basic ones I got from Radio Shack performed better, makes me actually wonder about the quality of the power/ground wire. But yeah, I will look for some good quality rca's.

Just to follow up, I ended purchasing a set of 4 channel Street Wires ZN5 rca's and problem fixed:veryhapp: no whining sound at all!
