i have 2 12" L7's. wow very loud, definetly DTP(Disturbing The Peace)and i love them for that. but i can only play certain songs. or they will sound pretty bad. heres the thing. i LOVE LOUDNESS but i also LOVE my music and these subs dont cut it when it comes to that. that is why ive decided to go with a very nice SQL setup. and i have my sights set on a 15" XXX. now my question is how would these setups compare...
both off of a kx1200.1; L7's ported with 5 cubes; XXX with 4-5cubes ported...is that amp enough power to push the XXX?
now can the XXX come anywhere near those L7's when it comes to loudness? for when i show it off to my friends or if i feel like doing a DTP headturning driveby?? those are the only things the L7's are good for but that is the reason i love them. and im worried i'll lose that with this XXX and miss my L7's.
but my heart also has a huge spot for SQ. as far as SQ, how good is the XXX's sq? not compared to the L7's cuz i know its not even close. i listen only to rap, bass tracks, and techno....LOTS of techno and trance, and that is where the SQ must come in. would the XXX satisfy me?
when i started(before i got my L7's) my taste was set on 90% SPL 10% SQ. but after a couple months with my L7's it went to 20% SPL 80% SQ. but now i realize my love for both for various reasons so... 50/50
if there is a better sub/subs for my taste then please suggest that but it must be off of my kx1200 cuz i love that amp too much. thanks u guys r the best i would be lost w/o you!!
