need help on immortal

ok i noticed it was smelling a bit.. so i took it out of the box and freeaired it.. ok and when it was moving alot the wire that runs from the terminal on the sub inside the sub was sparking blue.. what does this mean? it only done it when it was moving hard? is it blown? its a 10 in audiobahn immortal.. quad 2 ohm coils.. also can i get a wiring diagram for one of these... need help asap

It doesnt sound blown.

You probably need to replace the tinsel lead(s).

Can be a delicate job, but some others here on this board are quite experienced at it, so maybe they can help.

Not trying to be an *** or anything. But the best cure for an Audiobahn sub is a wall socket.

the audiobahn immortal is not made by audiobahn.. it just has there name on it.. the sub is loud and is a badass sub.. i mean not much sound quality but im in it for spl and this sub is right..so i need help on whats going on with this sub

are the tinsel leads touching each other? Try putting a peice of tape around one. Happened to me on an MTX sub.

Ok...The guy is right audiobahn imortals werent made at the same place that the other audiobahns were made...Does that make them better, a little bit. Ill take a pic for you today at the shop of a 10" audiobahn imortal that failed horribly mechanically, way way under rated power. If you are looking for a wireing diagram to make sure you wired them right, read the owners manual that came with the sub, they will show you how to wire it. You can either wire that sub as a 2 ohm load or a .5 ohm load or a 8 ohm load

this is alos another problem.. see its the quad 2 ohm coils and im only getting 2.2 out of 2 of them and the others are reading 1... and so put the dm on the wire itself on the side that wasen't showing and it said 2.3.. so the terminal things mustbe bad on that side too.. but the sparking is occuring on the other side... so if i can get a wiring diagram it would help lots.. the sub is hsowing its wired on 1.6 ohms

so your getting 2.2 on two of the coils and 1 ohm on the other two?
