I recently had a new XM compat. Alpine head unit put in my 1993 300zx and with that a set of mid range Boston Acoustic component speakers (which sound great) with a new 6450 JL 6 way amp and then a JL CS210RGW1 dual sub/box.
System sounded great first 4 days and then without any adjustment it sounded like the sub clarity hitting nice and crisp sounds muddy/"monoish" etc.
No where near as loud as it was and no adjustments have been made to the amp.
since it were set up.
We put a new amp in and still does not sound as strong as it first did. That set up shook your whole body and now........it can get loud but near what it did.
I was told the subs are wrong for that amp but regardless it sounded great at first.
Stereo place of course tells me it is me!
ANY ideas on what might have gone wrong to cause me to lose clarity on the sub set up?
Voltage from battery is good. Amp is running around 150F in my car. Is this too hot?
How can I try to find someone in Dallas who really knows how to measure ohms/sound qualities etc to help me out?
I am at a loss. I just know it does not sound like it did the other day as if the sub is not getting enough power?
Amp has green light so does not appear to be the amp?
