Ok. First of all.
Bluetooth has horrible sound quality. so tthats a no go. Most of all head units now have cd players built in as well as fm radio.

Audiopipe is a garbage brand and not worth your time.

Whats your budget for your overall system??
That's just plain wrong, my pioneer sounds great over bt. Even with Pandora, its not as crisp bass wise as USB/iPod using ACC files but it still sounds pretty **** good

depends man, some people with discerning ears will immediately tell the difference and it'll get annoying to them. It'll sound clean and okay to some, but others will completely notice loss of detail, especially in the higher SQ systems where it'll show any flaws in the recording.

It really depends on the device that's streaming the audio and what version of bt the hu has. Max data rate will determine sq

It'll still be sub-optimal compared to USB or CD, even if your phone has the most advanced DAC or bluetooth technology. I remember at the SQ competitions, they were demonstrating with an RTA how much detail/frequency response is loss through the different sources and they were using some high end audiophile music players with a 99prs

Well yes it's not comp grade, but he's doing a daily system. Keep it in perspective, its all apline low model stuff with prob no door deadener on a run of the mill double din. Hes not looking to win a sq comp.

For what his goals are bt will sound awesome

If they used Pioneer CD-BT200 for the BT test, that is a limiting the test. Of course there would be measureable losses if the BT chip isn't CSR AptX.

I know alpine type R isn't anywhere near top of the line, but "low model stuff" seems extremely excessive. Its not quite audiophile grade, but its really decent stuff isn't it? Out of all the stuff I have listened to the alpine type R compnonets have always been my favorite. (Except some completion grade stuff at a show one time, that **** is sick.)

No there's nothing wrong with them, not saying there low quality just one of alpines budget friendly sets.

$2000 and you don't even have separate front and rear preouts... Wow. What makes it so special?
Rainbows and unicorns automatically making your music sound magical. Basically just High quality DACs and internals. They used to make head units with actual sound quality in mind back then rather than toy head units nowadays. That unit makes the 80 prs look like a 2 cent whore in comparison.
