Video File Format for Pioneer AVH

Hi guys,

This is my first post here. Upgraded the HU of my dad's car last year into a pioneer avh 2650.

Manual says it can play mp4 video format but its like hit & miss. Some can play most often cannot.

What specific mp4 file format is compatible with this HU?

Or can you recommend a video converter i can use. TIA.
