Need help on Boston S60 comps...

Hi there, I want to purchase a set of comps, the Boston S60, but got some questions on how to power them from my alpine 4 channel amp.

The comps are rated at 55 RMS and 150watts peak power.

My alpine amp does 75x4 @ 4ohms, or 200X2 @ 4ohms.

I dont have rear speakers, so should I give 75 watts rms to the comps or 200 rms to them?

I have a Dodge Ram QC, I also have a 12 Diamond Audio sub getting 600 rms, and Im afraid it overpower the comps if I do not bridge the 4 channel amp.

just set them 75rms each and set ur gains so they dont see more then 60rms. U'd be amazed at how speakers can get off a little amount of power.

That's a tough choice. How about going to a set of these instead

and using your amp bridged but with the gains set for 100-125w? I'm using the SL60s on about 125 watts x2 and they seem to love the power. SL60s are avail on e-bay for about $180 shipped.

If you stay with the S60s, I'd start with the 75 watts and just be careful with the volume knob.

what should I do with the rear 2 channels of my alpine amp? its a 75x2 rms or 200x1 rms

Do you guys think the Boston s60 will sound better than the infinity reference 6"x9" 3 ways?

Im using stock 6cd changer HU from Infinity on my 06 Ram

Spend your money on a decent set of comps and bi-amp them.
